There are several design tools that let you customize the appearance of your Chatbot. This article shows you how to change the appearance of user response messages in a Chatbot.

These customizations change 3 elements in a Chatbot:

  1. background color of a button
  2. color of text inside a button
  3. background color and text of answers provided by the user

1 Customizing message settings

  1. Open the Design page.
  2. Locate the toolbox on the left side of the page.
  3. Click User Message. The menu displays.

Background color

  1. Under Background, click the box to open the color picker.
  2. Click and drag the mouse pointer to survey the color options.
  3. Release the mouse to choose a color.
  4. Slide the bar up or down to select a different gradient.
  5. Review your choice in the preview panel.

Text Color

  1. Under Text, click the box to open the color picker.
  2. Click and drag the mouse pointer to survey the color options.
  3. Release the mouse to choose a color.
  4. Slide the bar up or down to select a different gradient.
  5. Review your choice in the preview panel.

2 Saving and previewing the Chatbot

You save your work by clicking the Save button at the top of the page. There is no Preview button for your Chatbot on the Design page. Instead, use a workaround to preview your Chatbot.

  1. Click the Next button at the top of the page. The page changes.
  2. Click Next again. The page changes.
  3. Click View in the top right corner of the page.
  4. A new page displays your Chatbot in full.
